AQUA-GEL dressing is a new, unconventional mean, facilitating the treatment and accelerating healing of :

Hydrogel dressings AQUA-GEL are an aqueous composition of natural and synthetic polymers such as: polyvinylopyrrolidone, polyethylene glycol and agar, crosslinked by a beam of electrons. Due to radiation processing the product is fully sterile. In the end-use form it represents sheet, 3-4 mm thick, containing over 90% of water. The technology of production was made in the Insitute of Applied Radiation Chemistry of Technical University of Lodz.

Hydrogel dressing is transparency, elastic and flexible, but mechanically strong enough, absorbs effectively the body fluids and prevent their loss, acts as an efficient barrier against bacteria, adheres well to the wound but stronger to healthy skin, enables the oxygen to penetrate through the volume of dressing to the wound surface.

AQUA-QEL dressings, produced by firm KIK, have been used for 4 years in many clinics and hospitals throughout the country.

Clinical use of AQUA-GEL dressings showed that:

  • already after first exchanges of the dressings the burning pain ceases, giving feeling. of "soothing" action to the sick person,
  • during the change of the dressing, contaminations, discharges, fibrin and necrosis tissues are removed, leaving non-damaged granulation,
  • exchange of the dressings is painless,
  • the dressing protects the wound well against drying and external infection,
  • the dressings prevent occuring of overgrowthy scars
 AQUA-QEL dressings are specIally recommended for skin injuries by children. They don't adhere to the wounds, painless clean contaminated wounds and heal them without appearing crusts.
